Hey there! I?m Chance ? Big Chance, as foster mom calls me. I?m a supersized pug on a major diet. My pleading brown eyes had a positive effect on my previous owner, and he fed me lots of things. Lots of things. So yes, I?m actually double the size I should be. And now I?m in Green Bean Purgatory. Half of my meal is green beans ? did you know they have exactly zero calories?? ? and the other half is a tiny ¼ cup of high grade kibble. The green bean theory is that I will think I?ve actually had a whole meal. Right.
I?m quite a handsome 6 year old male, with good house manners, a gentle demeanor, a slight (very slight) preference for men, and a love of going on walks! We are going a little further every day, and I love all of it! I like the other pugs here, and the cats are no bother at all ? we pretty much ignore each other, except for one who thinks my green beans look interesting. I finish them off before he can find they are NOT interesting.
The only thing you should be aware of as you look at me is that my eyesight is pretty poor. The vet says I have pigment over much of both corneas, which means I don?t see a lot. It is one of these things that if it had been treated when it was a small problem, it might never have grown into a big problem. As it is, I will always need two kinds of eye drops: to keep my eyes lubricated and to keep the pigment from getting any worse. I get around just fine! I see enough that I can maneuver my way around the house and the yard, and on our daily walks! And I can certainly find my way to the kitchen!
