Hi pug people--it's me, Rafiki, or "Rafi" as my foster mom calls me. She says Rafiki is just too big a mouthful every time she speaks to me. As you can see, I'm a "stocky" 8-year old fawn boy. I'm on the large side for a pug, but there's no doubt I could stand to lose some weight. Foster Mom says we're working on that, although I have to say at first I didn't care much for the healthy menu provided here. I've gotten better and now scarf down that kibble stuff with just about a teaspoon of canned food mixed in to make it more palatable. However, I still am not eating those frozen green bean things! Foster Mom says they're "beansicles," but she's not fooling me.
As you can see from my photo, I have a very handsome face and my black mask kind of extends to my entire face. I'm quite active and like to play with the resident dogs here where I'm staying. I'm perfectly house trained, know how to use the doggy door and have not had even a single accident since I came here. And. . . . here's the good stuff--I've NEVER lifted my leg. I just love foster mom's 7-year old granddaughter, so I should get along just fine in a home with kids. I don't really know if I like cats or not, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't bother me since I pretty much like everyone and all the other dogs. Like most pugs, I follow foster mom everywhere and love to sit close. I'm not so much a lap dog as a cuddle up next to you or on the back of the sofa behind you, kind of pug!
It's very comfortable here where I'm living now, but I would so much like to have my very own forever home and never have to worry about losing my family again. I'd like someone who would work on getting me back to my ideal weight and would love to take some walks. Do you think that could be you?
